Appearance: John stands at about 6'0" or so, but its fairly lean and agile. Although his skintight suit shows off that he is not slacking in the working out department despite being in space most of the time. He's also the only Tracy with ginger hair, light enough to be orange. He's also pale with striking green eyes. We generally only see him in his bio-circuitry suit, however there is an episode where he is seen outside of his uniform and in casual clothes of simple khakis and a long sleeved shirt.

History: A good portion of the history in the making of the Thunderbirds is actually from the original series as that has not yet really been explored in the new modern remake of the series. The current show takes place 2060, as well. The old series took place in 2065, more on that in a sec.

Their father, Jeff Tracy, who was an ex-astronaut and entrepreneur, created International Rescue after a series of unfortunate events (including his wife's passing and several conflicts that involved loss of life). He was one of the richest men in the world who also had five sons named after famous astronauts; Scott, John, Virgil, Gordon, and Alan. However, at the start of Thunderbird are Go! Jeff is missing and presumed dead from a plane crash, though it's unknown if he truly has passed given a body was not found. In turn, the brothers have continued International Rescue in their father's absence, with John Tracy being the communicator for IR, often coordinating the missions for any such rescue that he finds while monitoring Earth.

John is, usually, found up in Thunderbird 5, a space station that was created for monitoring Earth and it's his craft to pilot. It's also home to an AI named EOS who was born out of a gaming program he had created some years back, but she had evolved and become quite powerful. However, she's a rather benign presence now after John convinced her to stay aboard Thunderbird 5 and he would protect her. It should also be noted that while TB5 was always in orbit, it was also squarely over Tracy Island. He had a space elevator to help him go down to earth whenever needed without needed to take TB5 down.

Tracy Island itself is a remote island formed by a now extinct volcano. It's uncharted so it makes for the perfect hide-out for the Thunderbirds. One of the liberties that was taken with this show is that everyone actually knows who the Thunderbirds are, wherein the old series no one did. Social media or anything close to it really didn't exist back then, so hiding their identities and keeping up the rich playboy act was much more plausible. Clearly, with how we are in just 2015 alone, the creators of TAG! knew that having secret identities just could not feasible given how often they show their faces. The only secret that really remains at this point is the location of Tracy Island.

And they would like to keep it that way.

Personality: John is a very logical and sensible young man, so much so that jokes tend to fly right over his head. Although he is rarely embarrassed by this when he finds that he missed it. He calls the situations as he sees it, because to him, there is no laughing matter in a rescue. Although when the situation isn't so dire, he can see the joke there and might even play along. Brothers and all that. However, he is not all logic as he shown to be quite the compassionate young man. When EOS, an AI that evolved from a game code he had created in his youth, first began wreaking havoc in Thunderbird 5, even going so far as to try and kill him, John throughout the episode tried his hardest to just understand EOS and make her see that he wasn't like other humans and really only wanted to protect her. He wanted a partner and a friend. John is not, make no mistake, a lonely person. He enjoys his solitude and never feels truly alone when looking down on Earth.

John is NOT antisocial. He enjoys his solitude but he obviously enjoys talking to his brothers, enjoys working with them, and even their company. But in Runaway, he even remarked on how Earth was "the right distance" from him.

But EOS provided him with a companionship that he couldn't get from his brothers and, eventually, EOS saw that John was only trying to make a friend out of her, not to delete her. He is strong-willed and doesn't back down.

John is also quick thinking and, despite not being the artistic one of the family, creative when helping in missions even from TB5. Thunderbird 5 can hack into almost anything, given him control over machinery and the like but sometimes, like in Skyhook, he's even used his own craft to help a mission. He used his own craft like a spool, fishing for the falling aircraft that had nearly incapacitated all other Thunderbirds.

Special facts/special abilities about your character: While John is just a normal human being, he is also very smart. While they weren't initially trained for IR, their special talents came in handy for their respective crafts. John is smart, quick thinking, and a great multi-tasker, he thrives on high pressure environments, which made him perfect for the role of communicator and space monitor of International Rescue.

John is tall, but lithe. Lean muscled and quick. John is perhaps the most agile of the bunch and is shown to know how to parkour in a way that let's him get around, whether inside or outside, of the station the fastest way possible. He's quick to know how to keep him from floating away in space. Having brothers who were obviously stronger than him probably lend him to learn how to be quick, to get to and from things as needed. While we don't see him use this while on Earth, with gravity, he had to learn it from somewhere after all.

On the flip side, his smarts aren't just from his fast brain but from his studies in astronomy and physics. It's what made him decide to train as an astronaut after his father and, eventually, become the space monitor of IR.

He's also wicked talented at the claw machine in the arcade. It even came in use in the episode, Skyhook.

What is arriving with your character? He would be arriving in his IR uniform as he wears it all the time while in TB5. His suit is a pressure and thermal space suit with integrated bio-circuitry (presumably to keep him from getting severe bone mass loss in space?) and comes with two comms devices, one with a secure channel and the other is logistics module and portable comms (idk what that actually means but it's there apparently) and circuitry spares all on the orange satchel along with a date tether to keep him from floating of in space and keeping his tethered to the 'Bird when outside of it. It also comes with a holographic display control on his arm to help communicate and control the ship. He will also have his helmet as well.

PART 3 - Writing Samples
1. First Person Writing Sample:

[He knows a comm device when he sees on, especially after some observation and fiddling as best as he could. May as well say something now that he's a bit more aware of things.]

Hello. I am on John Tracy and it appears I am also part of this... whatever this is. I suppose until we are able to find a way home, we are to work together, yes?

Back home, helping people is what I and my family do, although I was generally away from the action. Still, if I can be of use to anyone here, I would like to help. [His professional demeanor seems to break here, just a little, but it shows that he's also still just a young man in his early 20s. But, it clears within a moment.] Please, look me up if anyone here needs help and I'll do my best.

2. Third Person Writing Sample: The pressure was painful, but that's what happened when experiencing several Gs worth without your helmet on. Although John was fairly certain at this point, his helmet wouldn't have helped. All he could hear was the frantic whirring of the centrifugal ring, his body shaking as he tried to keep himself upright, waiting, hoping, that his words finally got through to the rogue A.I, EOS. His brothers were silent, desperate for their brother and angry at EOS, he knew. It was suicide what he was risking, he knew.

But he knew what EOS really needed, even if her attempts at his life would have proven otherwise to anyone else. The big red button behind him would stop her right now, but he was responsible for her. How could he not be? She wouldn't have been in this position if he hadn't been so careless with his coding. Or he would have caught on that it had evolved into EOS much earlier, maybe, and he could have prevented her from experiencing what she had. Being hunted and treated terribly, driven to the point where she beloved all humans, even her creator, were the same.

But, he knew he could prove her wrong. She just needed to trust him. John laid there, seconds away from being crushed by the G-force, having already given her a bargain. Kill him or not, the choice was hers. But, if she didn't, he was determined to show her how amazing the world could be. As if on cue, the gravity ring slowed to something resembling Earth's and John couldn't help the sigh of relief that escaped him. When he opened his eyes, the lights of EOS were white, rather than the angry red they had been. "I am reliquishing control of the ships systems...to you."

John shook his head. "I don't want control, EOS. I want a partner, I want a friend."

Her lights turned green.

3. First or Third person Sample: The stars, no matter where he was, always gave him comfort. Even now, as he was stuck in this place several decades before his time. The stars weren't very different, the timeline change certainly meant that they didn't look quite the same but, John have studied the stars above him that he knew even the smallest of changes.

He sat up on the roof of the B&B, unable to sleep and thinking about home, about Thunderbird 5, EOS. Gravity had taken some getting used to and he had no way to take refuge from it like usual. Swimming helped, sometimes, as the weightlessness in the waters was the closest he could get. But it still wasn't enough, not without Tracy Island, all of his brothers, and the 'Birds. He didn't know what to do. And that was hard enough to admit. His mind whirled with emotions, ideas, everything. He couldn't sleep because he just couldn't stop thinking.

Things were quiet. He wasn't used to the silence. John wasn't sure he ever could, given all that time in Thunderbird 5 with all that constant activity, even in when he was asleep.

And what of his brothers? They concerned him most of all. Grandma Tracy lost her son and now one of her grandsons, even if John still wasn't sure if his dad was truly dead. They were all going to go crazy without a brother now too, and even worse because EOS was going to have to handle everything on her own and they had just gotten used to working as a team.

He raised his hand to the sky from where he laid, tracing the well-known constellations as though it would provide him answers. "I'll get home to you soon. Just hold on."
